Welcome aboard CSR but please do not post this poor advise.I see people asking how to delete the alarm sound that indicates a problem code. I can tell exactly how to do this (on a SeaRay 260 Sundeck anyway). Some might say I should not do this because an engine can be ruined if the oil pressure goes down or the temp is too high etc and the driver will not know. Let me know if it would be desirable to show how to do this. (I just did mine) I will be watching my oil pressure and engine temp manually with the smart gauge. Only takes 15 seconds to disable the speaker.
A couple of suggestions -Wonder if old gas could be the cause now. Had an operation in 2020 and did not use it at all. Only used it once in 2021. Only has 221 hours on it. I have it in my driveway now doing cleanup. Oil pressure showing 48/49, engine temp 152 when warmed up on ears. Idles and runs very smooth. Took it out a couple of weeks ago ago for the first time in 2022, seems to run well even on the old gas I am trying to use up. Have had techs with Mercruiser scan tools not find anything wrong. Just did a tuneup with new plugs and wires. Said he thinks the problem was one of the wires, but the alarm came back after he cleared the code. Seems like it can't be too far out of tune if it runs to the "redline" Probably hit 5000 rpm if I hold it and trim a little more. I am usually a slowpoke driver though.
