Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I'm hoping i can find some help with an alarm problem that i'm having. I have a 2008 sea ray sport with a 5.0 MPI. I was running for about an hour to hour and half when i got an alarm. The alarm beeped twice every 30 seconds to a minute. All the gauges checked out find oil and temp. Temp is reading 170 and oil 40 psi. When i got home i even put a multi meter to the alternator and it checked out charging at 14.5. i also turned the key with out cranking the motor and the alarm was still two beeps every 30 sec's to a min. all fluids are topped off. The motor has 21 hrs on it. This is my first sea ray that i've owned. Is an engine alarm a solid beep tone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I had a strange alarm issue with my 4.3tks. The engine alarm would sound briefly while on plane. As I recreated the incident, I found that if I held the rpms at exactly 3000, the alarm would continue steady. I disconnected each of the three sensors (temp, oil, and out drive reservoir) successively, to try to identify which was causing the alarm, but the problem continued. After about a month of this nonsense, I disconnected the wiring harness connector from the ecu module, turned the ignition on and off then reconnectd. It's been almost a year now without any problems. I have no idea how that fixed the problem, but it did!

Thanks! I'll definitely give it a shot. I'm willing to try anything.

Sorry it took me so long to get back on here. Just wanted to let you guys know what the problem end up being. The alarm was caused by a bad water pressure sensor. Hope this helps out anybody.

Thanks for following up.
