air conditioning just an option?

I have a 88 Weekender 300 and the dash has a breaker for A/C and the owners manual states it is equipped but where? I am assuming it is a swamp cooler type unit but cannot find a water pump or intake. When I hit the A/C breaker it starts the heater fan in front of the motors and nothing else. The heater switch also starts the same fan. WTH?

Does it look original? On the 300 WE the A/C breaker is on the electrical panel, not the dash. If you have a factory installed A/C, it will be under the berth.
