Ok so the AC guy needs pump selection help. My ac pump is on life support and I just launched the boat . I have the crusie air PMA 1000 pump .

Only replacement I can find is a March pump AC-5C-MD. Is the cruise air no longer avail ?

Any thoughts on the March pump would be appreciated

Have you cleaned the magnets on the impeller. Most of the time that's all the problem is. Remove the cover, wipe with clean towel.

Motors shot . Swapped out the cap ... 50 - 50 wont start . just hums .
8 years old lots of mileage .. Ill rebuild it later but I need replacement. Ebay has exact replacement for 650 but it looked rebuilt. The March is 250.00 . I need something bullet proof. So I was hoping someone had feed back .

March makes the Marine Air and Cruise Air pumps, going directly with a March is fine. Little Giant also makes pumps for this application. You can usually find them on Ebay reasonable, just keep in mind the voltage used and capacity required. Also realize that an exact replacement will be the easiest to install, no modifications required.

We replaced 2 of our Cruise Air pumps with March pumps about a year and a half ago when they were partially submerged. The March pump were much cheaper at the time and we have had no issues with them since.

We purchased them from Amazon at the time.

My pump is maroon. I think it's a March. Works great.

BTW. Nice www site line six. we have no restoration folks like your shop in central VA. Wished I'd known about your company last Annapolis show.

Rob, call my cell, I had to replace one of my a/c raw water pump motors last year.....BTW, you use an a/c guy????

Rob,

As I recall, March makes pumps for many A/C manufacturers and then they put their own label on it. When I did my bridge AC/Heating unit installation I replaced my original pump (still in working condition) with March TE-5.5C-MD 1&3 phase Mag drive pump. It's about twice the size/power of the original pump as I needed to have strong lift to the bridge unit. So far, one year later I'm very pleased. I can check my records, but I think it was around $400-$450.

Hope this helps.
