My SMXII inside temp. display will drop down to 54 while the ac is on even thought the true inside temp is 72. When I turn off the cool and just run the fan the temp will begin to raise up.

Any idea where the sensor is and what I can do abour this.

Thank you

First, did you read the manual? The sensor is usually in the same compartment with the unit somewhere in the air stream returning to the unit. It's a 2" by 1/4" metal cylinder with a wire on one end.

Best regards,
Frank

The problem is that the metal casing of the sensor is clamped to the metal frame of the evaporator coil using a metal clamp. The coil and frame gets cold and the sensor is influenced due to conduction. Remove the sensor from the clamp and re-attach it away from the coil in the return air stream using a plastic wire tie as a thermal break. Problem solved.
By the way, your manual will not tell you that.

Thank you for your help that is just what Cruise Air told me to do.

thanks again
