After water pump impeller change out, water doesn't seem to come back out... pls help

Re: After water pump impeller change out, water doesn't seem to come back out... pls

Temperature: when should I take caution about chance of overheating then?
Shifting/gear: I'm gonna follow the adjustment procedure from service manual #14 first and will report back what's going on.

Thank you

I used my ir gun on the frost plugs at the front of the engine, between that and being able to keep my hand on the exhaust elbows without getting to hot I was able to relax and enjoy the days with my gauge sitting at 170 while running.
I hope you can soon.
I'll leave the shifting issue for Dennis. I would need to see it with a manual close to help. I know its easy to miss the right way when putting it together.

After following the adjustment guide, I have gears again :)

thanks again everyone.

next up I'll change oil & filters.

I also ordered Bennett auto trim so I might install that before taking it out to test on the water.

I doubt you'll ever even see 190*, unless there's an issue. Even if you're running the boat hard in hot weather. The one thing we have, that cars don't, is a vastly superior radiator... a constant 70* supply of cool water. So unless there's an real issue, temps typically stay right in that 170-ish range. However, 190* is still no problem - not "blow you up" temperature. The overheat alarm will come on well before you get to critical mass.

Generally speaking, though, if you start seeing temps approach 190*, stop and figure out what's going on. Even though those temps are OK to run at, something is wrong - clogged intake, worn impeller, etc.
