Looking to install camper canvas on aft without having aft horizontal support arms. I had this type of set up on my 390 and when curtains off it didn’t take away from the nice lines of the boat. Current set up is slanting aft curtains. We boat in Lake Ontario so the aft camper setup Is practical for our climate. Any ideas appreciated

Welcome to CSR.
There is a boat in Alex Bay, a 44da, that we met and had a few beers on a few years back. His camper canvas was the best setup I’ve seen on a larger da. He had the work done in Toronto specifically for the design iirc. I believe his screen name here is “1000 islander” you may be able to contact him or maybe he will see this post and offer some info.

Have them make your frame like this.

Thx I will try to find him. Our boat is actually located in Toronto

Different boat (much smaller) but I like how ours was done as well. Similar to the pics above they built a frame that doesn’t require vertical obstructive supports so it has a nice open feel. They also pulled the rear edge a bit inside the aft seating so the rear curtains have an slight angle which I think gives a nice look versus the “box” of a square canvas. That design goes sacrifice the aft bench a little bit but it’s still usable

We’re in Rochester so, same area. Hoping to get back to Toronto next summer and bring the kids to Toronto island:)

Man! That's some nice work Dave.
Thanks...but it's Northcoast Canvas in Port, Clinton Ohio (where I did most of my canvas training).
Very nice. Thank you. When underway do you get any shaking/clanging of poles? Do you know who did the work so I could ask my guy to reach out on the specs
Not my boat......but have done many similar with no complaints. It was done by Northcoast canvas in Port Clinton, Ohio
