I am looking at moving up from a 2011 260 Sundancer to a 340 ,37 or 380 DA all 1999 to 2001 any advise. MY price point is up to low 100k I live in the great lakes . We like spend 60% time at the dock and venture to the islands or just anchor out.

No question, get the bigger boat. I've had my 340 for a year and I am already making plans and budget for a 380 in the next year or two. I have three young kids and our "perfect days" are anchoring out swimming and then relaxing back at the marina. I've got a handful of 370-380-400's nearby and it's hard not to drool over the extra space every time I'm aboard one. I think I'm going to skip the 370 in favor of the 380 purely based on styling but I think they are ultimately the "same boat". Just like the 330/340 are very similar.

You found a great place for information on Sea Rays!

I guess the only qualifier I'd make to my post above is that a need/want for a boat bigger than a 340 might depend on how you use it. If you're kid-less or maybe just have one the 340 is more than enough boat for very comfortable cruising. Shoot, I have slip neighbors that run 3 kids on a 290 for that matter. It's all about perspective. Compared to a 260 the 340 will feel (initially) like a whole new world of boating...

I'm biased, but I'd recommend a 340 - since mine is for sale! Let me know if you're interested - you won't find another like it.

that's a gross understatement.....:smt001..........

If you get the 380 you better have the 8.1s if it is gas. The biggest advantage on the 380 is the enclosed shower. The disadvantage, depending on your marina, is that you need a bigger slip.

I just sold my 2002 380 I had for 2 years and I loved it. It had the 8.1s and ran great. It took the heavy seas with ease. Last summer we ran from Buffalo to Erie, PA in 4 to 5's and although I slowed down somewhat, we felt safe the entire trip.
