Advise needed on 2001 Achilles LEX 88

I had a chance to purchase a 2001 LEX 88 from an older couple because they can't use it anymore. They said they haven't used it but a few times. I looked at it and it is in excellent shape and garage kept. The wood doesn't look like it has ever even been in the water! He had a pulley system and had it hanging from the garage ceiling. Everything in the garage was in perfect order. My question is, what's the life span of the hypalon material and is the thing worth $500.00? I bought a 2005 West Marine Zodiac off CL and just found the corners coming unglued and leaking at the transom, other than that it is in perfect condition but at 9'6" it's a little big for my 280. I don't plan on having/using it much. Is there anything I should look at closer? Thanks in advance.

Donnie, If your not going to use it much get the smallest one that has the small slide in slats, it's the lightest and will be most portable, west marine carries it. i think it's only 8 ft. and enough for you and the wife. Lance
