Ok, I will be the first to admit I am not the biggest fan of the tower on this boat. It is very high up, but I did not want to attach to the sides due to always knocking it on something or I am sure it would cause problems plus it would of had to be reinforced. It is i it's strongest part and it is apparently the first white MTk tower to be shipped to Australia.
Anyway you can see the photos, the yellow had major gelcoat cracking in it from a wave apparently. They matched the colour excellent and were they only place in the whole city of 4 million people who would do it without using two-pack paint.
They are giving it a great wet sand, buff, whatever it is called, and have had one guy working on that part for weeks.
Pulled the motor out and found that my dealer was a lying sack of syt and luckily the warranty paid for the $6000 worth of parts needed. I will not get into that because it was just too bad to talk about. Maybe i will share photos of what happens when bad risers and manifolds look like jam stuck in the exhaust. Lucky we pulled it when we did. Anyway easily $20k spent on making this boat pure awesome thanks to insurance company and warranty and to be honest, If i was going out to buy a 195 sport now, I would hate to know it had horror stories, but this is the boat I would want to buy. No expense sparred.
Cant wait for the brand new original coloured bucket seats to arrive thanks to LAZY DAZE.
Anyway I would like advice and opinions on if I should paint, and what paint, or powdercoat or something else to the windscreen?
I think with this polar white tower ($3300 with over top bimini in AUstralia) would make the boat look even better is the windscreen was white, like the newer models which have black windscreens.
Maybe i should of gone with stainless steel tower, but i liked the idea of a powdercoated tower.
Does anyone think I should go for a white windscreen and if so how should i get it done?
Check out the pics though, this boat has not yet been cleaned, just had its wet sand and buff and is soon to be cleaned and then waxed or polished or whatever it is they do. So it is looking pretty brand new for not even being washed yet and dust and compound all over it still.
Any thoughts?
