Boat Info
360 DA 2002. "10 Good Years"
Previous boat- Four Winns 190 Horizon
Engines
8.1L Mercruiser Horizons, V drives
After each days operation I find some water accumulated under my starboard tranny & engine. Some flows thru to the main bilge area but have never heard the pump activate, so thinking that its about the 2-3 gallons I vac out after each day Magnitude of problem is static this season; did not occur LY. No water accumulates when siting in the slip; only after operating. Had boat pulled & bottom painted last fall. 2002 360 DA with 8.1 Horizons & V drives. Boat was new to me in fall 2013 & no record from PO of repair on an issue like this (or to drives at all).

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I would check the Prop shaft seal and bellows

This picture indicates dripless shaft logs--you can see the water lubrication supply just at the bottom left of the pic. Dripless shaft logs are very beneficial for v-drive systems due to the awkward accessibility to check and adjust non-dripless shaft log packing systems.
If you are not familiar with shaft log packing/adjustments or dripless systems have it checked by experienced marina staff. A fault in this area can lead to worst case situations as loss or breakage of a prop shaft due to no lubrication and subsequently a very big hole letting water in. My 330 has the dripless system and the bilge is always dry.

Hope this helps
