Tomorrow my wife and I will be spending from 9am to around 3pm hanging around Atlanta before heading to a family event north of Buckhead. Weather is supposed to be beautiful for the weekend.

Would like to take in some of the sites and see some of the funkier neighborhoods. Wide open for any other suggestions by you locals in the know.

Here's what I've got so far:

  • Inman Park
  • 1099 Euclid Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
  • Little 5 Points Neigborhood
  • 420 Moreland Ave NE, Atlanta GA
  • Jimmy Carter Museum
  • 453 Freedom Pkwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30306

Thanks

If you are a car guy ...... a quick trip to the Porsche Experience Center could be cool.

Before .... to get in you would have to book a table at the restaurant to get your name on the list to enter. Not sure if this is still the case. I booked a table and then once arrived I went to the restaurant and said my plans changed and I would not be needing the table..... but still stayed a few hours to view the museum and work shops.

Could try Coca-Cola factory, but that's a tour inside. Atlanta underground is pretty cool - basically all the old foundations from the original Atlanta before Sherman burnt the place down. Little 5 Points is great! Certainly plan time to walk shop and eat there. It us an alternative kinda place though so you may or may not like it. If you can stick around all night, head to The Punchline for a comedy show. Ask for Marcy and tell her Toby sent you.

Thanks for the awesome advice guys. Used the dining reservation trick and enjoyed a couple of hours exploring the Porsche Experience location.

We talked about the guys going to the trans am race but it was vetoed by the women. They had a much more fun Easter egg hunt planned apparently.

Oh well, one out two aint bad.
