adjust lewmar clutch so it stays adjusted?

Next exciting question... have a V700... it seems as though the clutch is always loosening off. Every time we drop anchor have to get out the lewmar wrench and tighten the cap to both drop anchor and then again to bring anchor in. Any thoughts? Anything I can find online just says to tighten it, but for some reason this never solves our problem

Good question. I just finished my V700 install today and asked about the clutch in another thread. I only hand tightened mine with my bare hand but when pulling in every once in awhile the cap will spin but the gypsy doesn't move. The instructions just tell you how to tighten it, not how tight or why to tighten it

You need to use the wrench it comes with but it never stays tight. I left a message with lewmar tech support it is driving us nuts.
