I am going to update my electronic package and was wondering if anyone knows how to get access to the other side of the dash. It appears the ceiling panel and wall panel behind the dash may be removable, but how to do it is not obvious. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Also, are there any repair manuals for Sea Ray's similiar to the Clymers or Seloc's for engine repair?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

I'm not certain removal of the cabin panels will expose the underside of the dash. Hopefully there will be some AJ owners that can chime in. The S/R's I am familiar with, an access door is all that is provided.

The S/R operator manual for specific boat models is the only references that I am aware of. However, if you are looking for Mercruiser repair manuals, there are references similar to those you mentioned.

Still debating. It currently has Furuno radar, Sitex ff, and Northstar GPS. The radar is the only one I want to keep. I would like to get the new Garmin 5012, but I won't be able to fit that and the radar in the dash. I could pony up for the radar unit also, but I hate the thought of trying to get the cable through the radar arch (have to remove coupler).

The current GPS is installed above the steering wheel, so my other option is to replace it with the Garmin 3206 (only have about 6" in height to work with).

I am pretty stuck with Garmin products, because I installed a garmin transducer just before it was put in the water.
