I added satellite last year and love it. I want to add a cockpit to my port arch above sink and wanted to know the best way to get wiring to cabin and if anyone has a suggestion for where to mount Directv receiver? Really trying to keep wiring to a minimum.

If you pull the cockpit fridge the job will not seem too bad. My cockpit TV is on a swivel and is mounted in the center of the hardtop facing back. I have a "slightly" damaged unit that you could have if you want it…..

You may or may not know about pulling the back of couch on the port side of the basement. It is velcro in and you just pull straight up, there are several alignment pins when you go back together…It will expose your battery chargers, A/C unit, radio amps, and probably the spot you will mount the Direct TV receiver. You can also pull the plastic tray under the triangular lid beside your steps to gain a little more light.

I think I'm going to try and build or weld up an aluminum mount for above the sink on the arch. That way I can see it from captains chair or cockpit seating. I'm going to see if I can find a reciever that accepts a remote IR for the remote.
