I am contemplating adding speakers to my arch, I would like to be able to swivel them to face the bow or face the stern. Has anyone done this. pictures, recommendations all welcome

I added poly planner plate speakers to the top of my arch. They require only 1" depth and sound great!. They are mount on the underside of the arch outboard of the courtsy lights. The speaker wires run inside the arch already so all you do is pair off of them. I also added 6" round polys to the half moon vinyl trim pannel. This pannel simply prys off and is used to access the arch mounting bolts. Simply cut a round hole, cut back the vinyl, mount the speakers, reinstall the pannel. Use the wires from the exsisting speakers. Note adding speakers will divide the power of the amp. On our boats it's a 25 watt POS. The amp is located under the mib cabin slide out berth. I replaced mine with a 250 amp model. It's plug and play, 12v power and rca jacks. Now it's really is loud and clear.

We've used the Boston Acoustics Voyager 4 or 5 in both horizontal and vertical applications.

They sound great plus the brackets and knobs are very solid. Salt water rated and totally waterproof.

Made by Focal. Simply the best you can buy, no swivel or brackets needed. Wires are tucked inside the arch. two speakers face fore and two face aft.
