Adding a pair of wolverine engine heaters and 110 lights in the bilge

Would like to know the model number of both Canadian & US products, so I can avoid the Canadian model. Thanks for your help.

Here are the pictures of the two different heaters. The original had the the block for the thermostat where the wires came into the pad.

Things went well with the install yesterday afternoon. About 3 hours of work including re sanding and cleaning the bottoms of the oil pans. Things were a little tight on the generator. No chance of getting under the oil pan. I did find a great spot on the back if the oil pan that I could get into and sand and clean well.

I also removed the sound shield so that I can have it sanded and re painted. Hopefully I can get that done in the next few weeks.

I shot my oil pans with my IR gun this weekend. 35° OAT, and both my oil pans were at 96°. My bilge temp was at 70°. I don't have one on my genny...

Steve & Carter,

I to have two on my 3126TA but do not have one on my gen set either and my engine room stays nice and warm and I've never seen any condensation on any walls or metal materials in by engine room. I originally install them thinking I would see how they did before I added one on the gen set and since decided I didn't need one on the gen set.

I couldn't be happy with my choice and they have been on for 3 years now.

I installed mine two weeks ago, going down to see her next week, after xmas. Will take temp readings and let everyone know. Did not install one on the genset.

Things appear to be working well. I checked on them yesterday and also shot them with my IR gun. Both of the engine heaters were at 123-125 degrees and the generator was about 110 -115 degrees. The engine room was toasty warm. However, the weather was pretty nice here yesterday somewhere around 65. I really do feel better about having the little generator heater installed. It is just another little piece of mind for me. God knows I need it.

I had actually gone to the boat to check on the heaters and pull the left side piece of generator shielding off so i can get it repainted. Unfortunately, my live in 5 month old grandson didn't like the idea of me being in the engine room while him and grandma were doing some decorating in the cabin. He screamed for 15 minutes solid like he was on fire. I am sure that you guys know what it is like to try and get mechanical work done with a baby screaming. I left my tools sitting on the floor of the bilge. The stupid shield is still on and I left the boat pissed off. The shield will live to see another paint peeling off, looking crappy day. Hopefully I can get back down there by myself one night this week.
