Adding 4th battery separately?

I have done a bit more research, as when my knowledge gets stretched I like to fully understand.

I need to point out here, I would never question the safety on the AC side, but I would have felt safe fitting what I consider a 'clean' DC system in, above bonding, prior to this.

I found the following article, written in absolutely plain English. Which explains the current systems, also

AC system
AC and DC system combined
DC system with no AC on the boat
AC system, generator, with no shore power connection.

Well worth the read. I would not have considered the charger as a possibility to mix the voltage.

I would highly recommend reading this one.

Great read! Always remember that to use OHMS law when figuring Ground and Power Sizes of AWG wire. Also make sure its not a China wire off ebay which will corrode asap. Resistance causes heat and build up, build up causes short circuits and then its up in flames!!

Bach to the original post, Jason, my apologies for the incorrect advice, I stand corrected.

Ok all. Thanks for the replies. I purchased 4 gauge amp wire that I will use to connect to ground. Thanks for the good info.
