Anyone out there have experience with the add on hydraulic swim platforms? I have a 2007 Sea Ray 40 MY and want to add on an extended swim platform so I can carry a zodiak. I see that there are at least 3 suppliers (Florida Bow Thrusters, TNT, and Sea Lift, the firm that advertises on the CSR site). Is one of these firms better than another? What kind of problems might I expect with the extended platform on my boat?

Actually I should have said hydraulic swim platforms. The kind which can support a zodiak or PWC. I've been looking at Florida Bow Thrusters, TNT, and Sea Lift and wonder if anyone has any good or bad experiences with any of these folks.

I have owned my 400 Sundancer for two seasons now, it was fitted with a TNT platform when I bought the boat. We carry a 3.1 meter Avon RIB fitted with a 15HP Mariner two stroke, and have not had any problems at all with the platform.

I believe (from receipts found in the boat files) that it was fitted 10 years ago, so TNT would seem a good option to me.

Strangely enough, when I looked at ten different boats from which to purchase, all the same age and basic spec., three had hydraulic platforms, however I did not let that enter into my decision making process when deciding which boat to buy. I would definately consider it as a major plus next time I upgrade, a very useful piece of kit, would not like to be without it now.
