achor locker spare green wire

on my 08 260da there is a large green wire thats not connected to anything in the anchor locker. can anyone tell me what its there for.

Sounds like part of your bonding system (corrosion protection). Look for a post nearby and that is likely where it should be attached too.

has a factory windless is it possible that they never connected at factory

Abyc code for green is DC grounding conductor, for bonding, so look for a place at your windlass to connect it.
