Has anyone from the East Coast received a check from boat claims made from Sandy? I thought Ace was going to do the right thing since the Field adjuster was a pleasure to work with but the Company itself sucks. Complete lack of customer service and the ability to do their jobs is sad at best. I would like to re insure the boat with a company that has stood behind their claims and actually made payments to get your boat repaired. Any good or bad info welcome..thanks
 
With a name like Ace, how could you go wrong?

After making a claim regardless of who you use, you're rates will probably go up.
 
Used Seatow. From beginning to end it took 2 months. The inbetween group was a pain and I had to ride them to get stuff done, but in the end it worked out well.
 
I don't know if this is the same company ( Ace Property and Casualty ) but I received my check within 3-4 weeks after submitting my claim. I had no problem with them.

Update,,,after a nasty e mail to corperate i recieved a call 20 min later and was assigned a new Claim agent and a check will be cut today or Monday. Thanks for the replys and I do know one or two that got a check from Ace very quick. I think the moron assigned to me needs to be reminded there are other options for us and without customers she is unemployed.

You had me worried. The company I was with, Zurich, stopped writing marine a couple of years ago. My broker put me with ACE and told me they are a good company.
 
Its an 2008,,very happy with the boat. Wish it did better on gas but everything is a trade off.I like the colors on yours.I had a chance to change hull color but decided to keep it white,,
 
I really think it was the agent assigned,,she had an attitude from the start and than went on sick leave not telling her back up anything,,I had to first find out who was covering and than was told there was a problem with one of the estimates which I thought was settled weeks ago..but the company so far has redeemed themselves. Just have to make sure the check is actually in the mail,,lol famous last words...
 
Sorrry to hear about your troubles. I had travelers. From the day I made the clame till the time I got payoff check was about a month and a half. They also payed me for winter storage , full reimbursement for haul out, shrink wrap, personal belongings and full reimbursement for recovery. Im still recieving random checks every now and then for thibgs I didn't even know I had. My last check was for upgraded electronics. They were very very helpfull. If I sent out an email at 9am I received an answer by 12. Absolutly no hassel. And very well priced. Cheapest I could find. 490a year for 25k agreed apon value. All in all so far I walked away with 35k. So im very happy. Wish ya luck
