I have a 2004 320 Sundancer. The ac/shower bilge pump in cubby hole in floor of cabin seems to work...but it is coming on every 20 seconds or so...seems like it is not pumping much water out --any suggestions? It is annoying as it comes on so much.

Open the floor to look and see how full the holding box is and position of float.

I has a situation much the same and the float for the auto bilge was only dropping 1/2 inch instead of the normal 2.5" or so. That makes it run more often as it only pumps a bit at a time.

When was the last time you cleaned it? I bet it is totally clogged. Mine was after 1 season of use.

Probably the check valve. Check valve keeps the water from flowing back into the shower/AC sump box. If the check valve is not working, the pump will cycle every minute or so. Look at the pump, you will see a rubber fitting, inside the rubber fitting is the check valve. Replacements are hard to find for JUST the rubber check valve but if you take apart a Whale Valve then the internal part can be used.

Got all this information from Gary, and it worked for me perfectly.

Mine was doing that. Then it finally quit. I opened it up and cleaned it out and now it runs great!! Mine was fairly easy, a little gross, but easy. Now, at the end of each week, I run a few gallons of water down the shower drain and that keeps the "eeewwwww" from growing in the sump.

Thanks to all of you for the replys. I will do as suggested!
