AC Pump - How Often Does it Run

I know that the raw water pump comes on when the AC comes on, but does the pump run continuously after that? Does it cycle on and off with the compressor?

On my 97 290 the pump runs with the compressor On my buddys 88 340 his runs when the a/c is turned on

I was thinking about asking the same question.

On my '88 305 DB the water pump comes on when the ac breaker is flipped. In the manual it states that it should go on and off with the compressor. I've had conflicting responses from others on the dock about which is correct, so I was going to assume that either is ok, although I would prefer it to go on and off with the compressor.

Dont most have a choice? I can program mine to cycle when compressor kicks in or continually.

sorry, I meant fan blow continually and water flows only when compressor comes on, versus fan only blowing when compressor cycles to reach temp

you may have adjustable, programable settings. If the continual air bothers you.
