That looks like the top of an LED. If you can measure it (likely 5mm or 3mm) you should be able to buy a replacement (or a hundred) pretty inexpensively. These should be connected to a little circuit that drops the voltage to around 3V, you can confirm with a MM. The only issue is, the LED may produce a slightly different color than the original, so maybe replace all of them if its an issue. The response from Paneltronics was simple: "This is no longer available".
Yesterday I decided to remove it and take a look. It is a simple acrylic block block, painted white on 5 sides and a white painted sticker on what would be the exterior face side. The bulb is TINY and inserted at the bottom via a simple little hole. The wires are soldered to it and in my case, the ground wire was no longer attached.
As luck would have it, while trying to solder it back on the + wire broke off the other side and rendered the bulb DOA. Now to find out what size, color and type of bulb it was. It was small and emits a green hue. I know it is 24VDC. The only bulbs I have on the boat are the halogen bulbs from old lamps, but it gets TOO hot too quickly and are too bright.
The search is on.

I would agree except I would expect the Paneltronics to have that circuitry already there. I'd either check the lead voltages first or buy both types... $5 for the other LEDs is cheaper than driving back and forth to the boat.
