Ok,here we go launched and commissioned yesterday --all good Except for AC 1994 400EC dual crusair units with SMX2 controllers. Boat was new to us last year mid season ,in the past and after we hauled it home I turned on ac units and ac pump relay breaker and all as well. well yesterday after layup not the case. The AC pump does not come to life AT ALL it doesn't even try, the units both power up and call for cooling and the compressors come on all normally just no pump! , AM I missing something stupid? I do have power at the switch on the power panel that as far as I got yesterday with all of the other chores going on. thanks

Is there a reset switch on the water pump< like an over temp for the compressor? Mine has one. Look around the compressor cooling coil.

I'd suggest checking for AC voltage at the pump.

You likely have a magnetic drive impeller in your AC pump so, could have something blocking it and the motor part of the pump may be running but, very quiet that you might not notice.

Beyond that ... I'm no help for this one.

Good Luck,

This problem has been discussed many times. There are relays that control the pump motor on any installation where one pump feeds multiple heat exchangers. Search the site because the relays can be hard to find. SeaRay likes for you to play hide and seek with them.

Magnetic driven impellar pumps are not self priming. Did you prime the pump by either pushing water thru the system with a hose, or running on plane before trying them?

If not, all the electrical components will run/work, but no water is getting pulled in by the pump. Prime it, and you may solve your problem.

The pump does not turn on so i haven bothered to try and prime it. I did find the relays and there is power going out of the control box to the pump. So its either blocked locked of fried. The wire appears to be solid i cant fit between the engines to test right at the pump .....looks like a job for a skinny buddy.
