I have a 270 SD with a 7000 BTU AC/Heat unit. It just won't keep the cabin cool when the outside temps get into the 90's. Living in Texas, AC is vital. How many BTUs should I consider?

Mine is 12,000 BTU cooling only and works great, Mike.

My 270 has a 19,000 BTU unit. If it's in the 70's or at night you need a parka. When it's a 105 and 60% humidity it just barely keeps up during the day.

My 300 Sundancer has a 10,000 BTU unit that freezes us out during the hot summer here in the Northeast. You probably need a little more to deal with the heat there. I imagine a 12,000 BTU unit should be more than enough.

Try sitting an 8" or 10" fan in the cabin directed towards the return air register. It probably won't cure the problem, but will help move the air.
