That switch is a breaker, and it is tripping due to overloading the circuit. Take a look at your AMP draw, and see how much it increases when you switch it on. Maybe somebody else can answer on the why. What is the age of the batteries? How low, voltage-wise are they?

The amp meter is pegged all the way I did notice that the batteries are new and they at maybe 12 volts

Others may comment here but I think you volt meter should be at 110....since you are getting 110 from the dock. if it's pegged something must be wrong.

On on my chargers the blinking light indicates status. Charging, float, etc. sometimes mine is off as well.

There are so many posts here asking for advice. When the poster can't take the time to frame the question in an intelligent way they get skipped.

My converter / charger just stopped charging. The cooling fan started running continuous on it but all lights went blank and the meter was dead. It was a 2030 model. Just replace it with a digital 2130 model.
