This video shows a helicopter going over Man-O-War Cay, then Hopetown and White Sound both on Elbow Cay and then Scotland Cay. It’s truly heartbreaking to watch this video as I know these Islands all to well and the Abacos was one of our favorite places to cruise to in the Bahamas. I can’t comprehend the amount of devastation of places we stayed and now no longer exist.
The people of the Bahamas are some of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met and we have great memories. They need our help and there are a lot of ways to donate either goods or money. Although even I find it hard to imagine being able to recover from this, we have to try and help. Today I made a donation to Hopetown Fire and Rescue. I also bought supplies and drove across to the east coast of Fl. to deliver to a drop off location. If you can help in any way please do...
God bless the Bahamian people and keep them safe... I’m sure many are going to sleep tonight without shelter...Just gut wrenching....

Just terrible, this will take many years to come back to the islands everyone knows and loves. Mother Nature sometimes reminds us not to live on tiny strips of land in the middle of the ocean. Beautiful but I couldn’t live where a hurricane can wipe out my entire island. I agree this is a good place to donate since they will need all of the help they can get to cleanup and rebuild.

Thank you for posting this, reminds all of us our blessings and the need to support the people of the Bahamas.
