a wiggle

I have a 32' 1989 sedan bridge. I was doing some polishing on the stern, and notice the wall next to the swim platform door has a small wiggle. Is this a sign of rot? is this wall considered the transom?

The "wall" facing aft? When standing on the swim platform you would be facing it? Yes that's the transom, there should not be any movement there. The swim platform is usually through bolted to the transom and should be a very solid. Something does not sound right, you need to check that out.
