Mmm, nice! Do you have to keep an eye out for whales when you're at speed?

You coming up this year Jeremy? Hopefully by mid-late June we'll have a 260DA

Todd, did you take those photos of the whales? I have not seen them be that much out of the water.

Todd, are you offering to lead an expedition to BC?

Jeremy, do you have your passport in hand, or in process?

Todd.... we would love to come up.... looking at the schedule for late July timeframe to see if it is possible. I have to then talk with our friends at the Oregon and Washington DOT's to get my wide permit "stuff".

Dave... yessir passports are in hand... no issues.

Jeremy, it is my understanding that you only need the permit from one state, then it will be valid in others. This is not gospel, but I believe it to be true. I think you can also shop states for the one that gives you the cheapest permit.

It has been my observation in Washington that the compliance rate with using Wide Load signs for 280's and 290's is not very high. This is at odds with my general perception, having grown up there, that Washington is a "police state".

Dave,
My brother took them.

Jeremy,
Let me know if you need help on the Permit stuff I can ask around.

BTW since my passport was stolen recently, I have learned that you will not be required (Advised and quicker yes) but not required to have a passport going into or out of Canada if you are in a personal car or Boat. Flying and Commercial Bus or train you will be required to have one.

Yes I'd love to meet anyone who wants to come up. I think it would be a blast, and for many a trip they will not soon forget.
