A Special Weekend, a Special Company, and a Very Special Little Boy

If he ever makes its around to the Chesapeake he needs to come by and give me some pointers... he looked pretty confident and poised at the helm of that 610. I would've been white knuckling the whole time!!

Rusty and Sea Ray deserve the credit. Rusty picked up Benjamin's story by reading our posts on CSR when it first happened and thought Yacht Expo would be a good thing to do. He proposed it to the corporate folks at Sea Ray who were all for doing something. I just tagged along to meet the Byer's family and to be a deck hand for Rusty since his real job during Expo is to conduct demo rides for prospective customers. We both had a blast with Benjamin and his brother Brody.

This is something that would have been very easy for Sea Ray to turn into a marketing ploy, but to their credit, nobody but Rusty, the 2-3 Sea Ray employees who set up the family's visit, and I knew the real story behind Benjamin's trip to Expo, which was just to do something nice for a little boy who loves boats.

I have been a fan of Sea Ray boats for a long time, but now I am even more committed to the brand than ever before. Sea Ray is a class act and their employees are a first class bunch of folks who consider all of us owners part of the Sea Ray family.
 
How did I miss this? I have to stop working so much.
