I am going to purchase a cockpit cover for my boat from Great Lakes. The boat never had a cockpit cover, so I don't know how the factory had the cover attach at the windows.
My questions:
How does the cockpit cover attach at the front and side windows (Does it use the tupperware style rubber into the guide channel like the camper top or use snaps)?
If the cover uses snaps at the windows, are the snaps set into the fiberglass around the windows, or are they set into to the lower metal part of the window frames?
I assume that the rear sides and bottom of the cover use the same snap locations as the slant back curtain (that attaches to the bimini). Is this right?
I have installed a few camper canvas sets before so I know how to set snaps into canvas and fiberglass, I just want to get an idea of what kind of job I am getting myself into before I place the order.
