A new start...

I offered to buy her out, she wanted to see how much we could get for it on the market. The boat was just another place for her to drink, I loved it for other reasons. Did I just say that? :)

We got a strong offer pretty quick and by then I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it or not by myself.

I can understand, 37 is lot of boat to use yourself, main reason I always stayed with 25 - 27 range even though I can easily afford bigger, I want a boat I can use alone when nobody else wants to go.

We will see how I feel about a 44 for myself!

I could have bought her out of the 48 we had but it wouldn't have left me enough room in my budget.. That was a great boat but this was a better choice. More thoughts to come as I get to use the new boat a bit

Congrats on the 44! My client and good friend loves your old 48, we brought her across from Port Washington to New Buffalo last week and she ran beautifully.

Well its been a less than ideal 2021... Its been a rough road on the personal front as I have just completed finalizing my divorce. The 48 sundancer unfortunately had to go in the process.

The good news is I have been able to relocate from St. Paul, MN to Nashville, TN completed the purchase of a new to me 2008 44 sundancer and joined a really nice yacht club.

Excited to be able to continue boating in whatever this next chapter in life brings.

Huge Thank You to a handful of great people on this site that have helped me over the past months and beyond as I considered this move and then the personal live facing challenges.. Special thanks to @fwebster, @Scott Williams, @rwvw415 @ocgrant @TNT8808 @FootballFan

Congratulations Zach! We were members of Cedar Creek in the 50's and 60's. I have the best memories of weekends on Old Hickory Lake as a youngster...

+1

the wife and I were talking about something similar last night. We were looking for 42/44 DB’s for a while and ended up in our 410. I go out a lot alone during the week, lunch cruises, etc., and I would think that could be a challenge in a DB just going up and down the bridge steps.

our boat is quite easy to single hand and I’d argue easier than my 290 was because it takes a good bit of time before it starts to move off the dock. Plenty of time to tie up when returning

Yup, running the Regal 3780 sedan alone is a lot different than running a cruiser alone. The boat had too many memories as well, I wanted something that was new to me.

Zach-glad to hear you are getting settled in. Still want to get you out on OHL with us. Let me know if I can be of any help!

Scott
