Boat Info
1998 330 Sundancer,
Engines
7.4L V-Drives
After messing with a 310 for a month, we finally had our survey done and after a few problems during the survey, me and my wife walked on our deal. That was last Tuesday. Friday we found a 1998 330 Sundancer with 7.4 L motors with V-Drives The motors have around 460 hours on them. It is raw water cooled. The boat seemed to be In pretty good shape. We have a survey lined up for next Tuesday. We are looking forward to being on this site and learning about hopefully our boat,

Good luck on the survey! I've got one on a 2003 320 on Monday. So we're at the same stage!

Good luck to both of you. Both the 320 and 330 are very nice boats that you will both enjoy.

Thanks. Our survey is today. Seeing how I was off all last week, thinking we would be getting a 310, I couldn't take off today, so my wife is there and so far she says things are going pretty good. They just did the Haul out and fixing to put her back in. Im still crossing my fingers.

Good luck on the survey! I absolutely LOVE my 330! Best boat I've ever owned. Plenty of room, storage, power and amenities. Enjoy.

The survey went ok, there were a few things that need to be fixed, like the windless motor. it doesn't work, Fan belt on the Generator needs to be replaced. Should get the report back tomorrow. If all goes well, we hope to close by Monday It has an updated stereo and a flat screen TV. It does need a new Bimini. Now all I have to do is figure out how to pay for the gas.

Closing on Monday still leaves you plenty of boating this year! Oh wait you're in Texas. Never mind. Disregard that statement. Good luck with the closing and now go have fun!

Really enjoy our 330. I hope your 98 has the newer helm, tan with the morse controls. I like that look. Nothing out of hand on your survey. Enjoy!!!! She is an awesome cruiser.

Ohhhhh they drink the gas. You're going to love that 330 but if you plan to get her up on plane and cruise port to port regularly you're going to hate the fuel consumption! You can cruise at hull speed all day long on a handful of gallons of gas. Get her up on plane and put some miles on...a very different fuel story.

You an get a whole new canvas set including isinglass, fron Great Lakes, the OEM manufacturer. They will fit perfectly and should be about $2,300. Of if its just the bimini, they sell them separately.

We did call Great lakes and like I have read on here, they said they don't make a bimini for our boat, so we are looking for some one local. Thank you all for your comments, means a lot. Yes being here in Texas, it is pretty much boating weather year round, but there is not a lot of places to go and see, but for us, being on the water is good enough.

The 1998 330DA is the same as the 1999 330DA. I have ordered canvas from Great Lakes and it's still available from them.

Well, We signed the papers today and took ownership of her today. The old owner was kind enough to drive the boat over to her new home. We are pretty excited. Will try and post a few pictures later. I guess I will move this post to the 330 thread.

Ordered my last year for $1800 for the whole set that included aft curtain. They do make OEM bimini top for $410 front section and $381 for the aft section. Call them often to see if they have 25% sale.
