So me and the admiral took our 1988 240 sorrento to Sombrero Reef in Marathon. swam with some fish and even a sharks showed up for us. Breathtaking place. Then headed to Bahia Honda state park in Big Pine. anchored on a sand bar for some chilling and a burger on the grill.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY

You stole my idea!
Seriously I am wanting to trailer y lil gal from Chicago area as I have family in the Treasure Coast and Key Largo but I’m chicken to trailer so far alone.

Trying to grow the cojones.

Keys are paradise.

Trust me. Its worth the trip. I had a buddy trailer her down last year cause i trailer 2 jet skiis. I leave her here at a storage place in marathon for $75 a month. Worth paying for storage to have it here

We trailered our 21' center console from northwest Ohio to Marathon every year. We took in down in October (to avoid the ice and fog conditions in the mountains) put it in storage just outside of Marathon until we got down there in January. Wasn't a big deal trailering it - although I hated going through Atlanta and Miami. Roughly 1500 miles for us one way. I can't image being in the Keys and not having access to a boat.

We come down from new jersey. We take i 95 to fort pierce then jump on florida turnpike straight to the keys. Avoid miami at all cost

Its not a Sea Ray thing but this is what i built on 2 of my jet skiis to stay away from the sun while in the keys.

There was a thread a couple of weeks ago while Dorian (Hurricane) was bouncing around.

Someone asked the question - why do people deal with the storms in Florida.

Your thread answers the question... Thank you for posting.

Had an '87 S-24 Sorrento a bunch of years back. Ours was brown and cream. Really liked that boat.

Thanks for sharing.

Im in marathon. I store my boat at beachcomber storage. Not covered but very secure. Guy is super cool and lives on site and does random patrols of the yard on his golf cart
