Just in case you're interested:

1. Needed an articulating arm to mount a flat panel TV but wanted it to lock in place when underway. Check out www.moview.com for their WSSL single arm and double arm locking TV mounts. I ordered one online - well made and locks firmly in place with no wiggle.

2. Was looking for a better way to stream music from phone into stereo - especially a pain on my 300DA where there is no AC or DC power anywhere near the AUX jack. Picked up a Miccus BluBridge RX (http://www.miccus.com/products/blubridge-mini-jack-rx) which is about 1" x 1/2" bluetooth receiver with an integrated stereo miniplug. Charge it up, pair it with iPhone (or other A2DP compliant device), plug into Aux jack and stream wirelessly. I was concerned about bluetooth range but I can wander freely about cockpit with my iphone streaming Rdio or Slacker with no interruptions. 8 hour battery life. Awesome.

Now just wish someone would make a DIN sized Blu Ray player (I know Audiovox has announced one) to replace the krappy kec unit.

Nice find on the BT unit. I have one from belkin but requires AC power so only works with shorepower or generator on. Been looking for a battery unit. You might have just saved me the hassle of installing a second Mp3 port at the helm. Currently only have one in cabin so the BT connection is nice. But my belkin or maybe my phone had limited range. I'll give this a try.

I second the blu-ray DVD player wish.

Only problem apparently is that if you stop the music for a period of time, the Miccus unit powers itself down which means you have to go power it back up to start playing again. On the other hand, I figure this saves battery life and since I usually just put a playlist on, it isn't a big hardship. So far so good.

I had several, more elaborate "solutions" in the works for wireless music, including an Audioengine W2 (which is worth a look but still requires power), Airplay and Sonos. For $39 bucks though, this fits the bill!

I just bought and installed the Miccus bluetooth receiver. I have a 12v socket and the aux input socket right next to the head unit in the cabin's breaker cabinet. Previously I just left my Ipod on shuffle play down in the breaker cabinet. Now, I use the Miccus, keep it powered into the 12v socket (so I don't have to worry about it running out of battery), and keep my Iphone at the cockpit/helm with me to control music as well as use its Navionics app for backup chartplotting. This is a great device. Thank you for recommending it.
