A coin shortage? Really?

Here's what I want to know: In all those stores that were "rounding up" if you paid cash so that they didn't have to come up with the change, they supposedly donate that to a local charity. At the end of the year, do they say KROGER (or whomever) donated all that money, or do they say it was from the consumers? Do they get tax benefits on the money YOU donated?

That's what most corporations do. Solicit donations from consumers - then make the donation in the "corporations" name...
 
Interesting, i have yet to see one like that.
Coins or go inside, pay for slugs, use slugs in macine.
A card makes way more sense. Our car washes use cards, but then go to vacuum, coins needed.
