I have a TaylorMade Crusair SXR10-M10 A/C on my 2000 Amberjack. For the past year and a half I did not know that the thru hull for the raw water pickup was EXTREMELY clogged. This being my first air conditioned boat I thought that the trickle of water was normal...then there was no water at all. I found that the thru hull was clogged with sealant...that's right, sealant. I could actually open the ball cock valve with the hose disconnected while in the water and not have a problem!

Long story short my compressor is now buzzing when it starts and most times it will trip the breaker and not run at all. When I do get it to run I beleive it is overheating and eventually stops...the breaker does not trip in this situation. Ideas?

You have pretty much fried your compressor. You can get a service tech to install a hard start kit on it. If it runs at that point you will need to start looking for a new compressor. If it doesn't run you will need to find a new compressor.
