99 460 Sundancer purchase

Thanks for the comments guys...getting closer to the fly date to Miami. A couple of things that I still have questions about. First of all, he had sea ray not install the washer/dryer and the installed shelves instead. I am told everything for wiring and plumbing is still there. I wonder where the best place to get a replacement unit for it. The wife wants it bad and we all know. What ever mama wants, mama gets. Second question is..How much work room is I. The engine compartment? I can't tell from the pictures. I sure hope I have more room then my 340. Tired of playing Gumby to do anything on it.

Thanks in advance
Steve

You might be in luck with the washer/dryer..........Sea Ray only used one make/model.

Just sharp-shoot the best price you can and the rest is just lifting, electrical and plumbing. However, do not expect that thing to work like the Maytag in your laundry room. Those who know them call the washer/dryer combo a Wrinkle-Master. About all they are good for is towels and bedding.

The 460DA engine spaces are not one of Sea Ray's best, but you will have far more room than on your 340. Just be sure you know what you are walking on before you step on it, take your time and watch all the band clamp ends.

Just my 2 cents worth, with a boat that size you should consider Old Hickory Lake. You have full access to the entire eastern side of the country through the inland water ways. You have many more bigger boats on OHL and more restaurants . I boated on Priest for many years with runabouts when I moved to cruisers I made a move to OHL. The water quality is not really that different the reason for the difference in color has more to do with the lake bottom, mud vs. rock.

I was on old hickory for about 10 years before I moved to Percy Preist. Old hickory has so many shallow areas and so much trash in the lake, that I couldn't stand it anymore. In addition to those two issues, our friends are all on priest. We have a great time. I do wish we weren't land locked on priest. We also live in Franklin. The closest lake is Percy Priest. It takes about 40 minutes to get there. Old Hickoery is at least an hour and ten minutes.

Thanks
Steve

Have you ever considered KY Lake or Lake Barkley? I could visit a new cove every weekend for the next 10 years and not even make a dent in them. Several good marinas and great boating. Not crowded. I can trip up the Cumberland to Nashville, take the Tennesse virtually anywhere south, incl the Gulf, or take a short ride to the Ohio--west to the mississippi or east to Cincinnati. we're about a 90 minute drive from Nashville. we have alot of folks from the Nashville area over our way. That 460 needs room to breathe not run in circles! we drive over 3 hrs one way every weekend to enjoy pure paradise, so boat, man, boat!
