97 Sea Ray Sundancer 500 Fuel Vents

Hi,
I have a clogged fuel vent line so I need to trace it back to the tank. I already pulled and cleared anything at the external vent/hose connection. I know the tanks location, just don't know how to get to them. Can anybody tell me how to access?:huh:None of my manuals help.

I also have a faulty fuel guage reading, so need to check fuel sending units. Maybe fix them both, once I figure out how to get to the tanks.

My tanks are visable in the engine room, port and starboard....yours are not ?

To answer, No, they are forward of the engine room opposite the fire wall. They look to be under the salon(according to parts layout), 3 tanks, center, port, and starboard. The holding tank is the only tank in the engine room. I am going to take a crack at trying to find access tonight, just didn't see any means to getting to them.

There should be covers accessible from under the circular couch in the main salon. I believe they just unscrew.

Thanks, I peeled back the carpet and found 2 openings for the fuel sensors, but I will check under the couch this weekend.:smt119

Your have to take out the couch section to get to them. The straight part will come out but it is like a puzzle. The first time I did mine it took me almost 2 hours. But after you get the seat out the base is screwed in with back panels on it. The screws come in from both sides and some up toward the top. After you get the panels out you can also take the frame work out also. Like I said, a puzzle but it does come out.
