Well ladies and gentlemen I have done it now. Destroyed both props. Would love opinions of proper diameter/pitch for this application. '97 450 Sundancer w/3116 cats. Current props were 22 x 23 and had been changed by the PO. Also any recommendations for a vendor would greatly appreciated. FBWebster and MFlaten please chime in on this. Thank you so much.

This isn't hard on this boat........
Did your boat run up to 2800 RPM at WOT when fully loaded? If it did, then stay with 22 X 23's. For what it is worth, but boat left the factory with 22 X 24's and we repitched the props immediately down to 22 X 23's. You can get all exotic and spend 5-figure money on props, but if you run up to rated RPM's you aren't going to do a lot better than what you have. The one thing I would do is to have the new props scanned, trued and balanced to each other when you get to that point.

Frank Thank you. I knew that you would have all the answers. My props appear to have been changes also. They were re-stamped 22 x 23

I'm still running 22 x 24's. We seem to have no issues other than when I nick them on some crap floating in Puget Sound and spend $1150.00 @ the prop shop to get them rebalanced....

I have a spare set of 22x24 that I picked up from a guy who had a 450. I've been holding them in storage purely as an "emergency" set. But I doubt I'll ever use them after some recent events. Any clue what shipping would be on them?
