I've been reading the forums and have been amazed by the help that memebers have given... I just had to join and post my issue.... Have -'95 330 Sundancer, and have occasional water in the aft floor, have removed the carpet to attempt to locate the leak, tried water testing the windows, stantions and the windshield, no water comes in (that i can see), removed the aft water tank cover and checked in there, i cannot see that water from the storage area at the shower sump can get into the rear floor area.. can it? It can go days or more rain or shine and be dry... Anyone ever experience this? I knew the prior owner very well, he had it for 5 yrs and i've owned it for three years... thanks for any help

Leaks are tough to track, but it's important to locate!
Is there any evidence of the leak running down the wall or through the headliner?
On my old 88DA, the radar arch was the culprit of an aft cabin leak. You may want to spray around the base of your arch and see if that is the issue.
Good luck!

My neighbor has a 97 33DA that had the same problem. Water leaking into the midcabin and staining the rugs. We traced it down to a leak in the radar arch around that big Sea Ray emblem on the side down low on the arch. A little caulk and it has been dry for last three years. Another area to look at is the floor drain in the head.

No stains on any interior that i can see, You mention the arch, i did have the gps mount off the arch prior to launch, maybe leaking there eh? I'll try to check/reseal there... should i remove the lower bolsters from the arch area and try runnin water at the seam and at the gps?,

You may have cleaner rain water where you live than we do here in NJ....But I don't know where you are from .....other than guessing Canada.....eh?....may want to update your sig file...

That sounds very suspect.....have someone run water on the arch, working from the bottom up, while you are inside, at and around all mounts and joints. Low pressure water and give it time before you move up the water hose. Don't forget to do the same around the Head floor drain.

This is great advice, I will give you a green dot!

Make sure that you go slow, as it takes time for the water to work its way through. Make sure you soak the area with a hose, don't blast it and also it might make sense to rock the boat a little as you move from one area to the other...

I'll try these suggestions over weekend, I'm from Buffalo, N.Y.
Sure is great having suggestions from people who have had these types of issues.. Thanks for the Help...

I had the same problem with my '95 330. It actually was two different problems. The porthole on the port side was leaking around the trim ring and running inside the vinyl and down behind the cabinets eventually finding it's way to the aft floor. I pulled and rebedded the porthole. The factory cutout was way bigger than it needed to be.

The other time was that the freezer had defrosted and the tray was full of water. The water would slosh out while running and leak past the door seal (obviously it wasn't sealing!) and then to the floor.

We had a similar problem. It turned out that the porthole in the head was leaking onto the sink. This was draining over into the sink cupboard and soaking into the carpet below the sink which was than leaking into the cabin.

Tightening the porthole window tabs took care of the problem.

I have a 95 DA 300 and had the same issue. What I found after looking was the AC drains into the sump pump for the shower. The pump had quit working and filled the storage area under the main floor, then it drained into the aft cabin. I replace the pump and all is well.

I own the exact same boat. Do you use the shower in the head? Is there water in the carpet under the bottom step? If yes to both of these, then you might be leaking water in the seams in the head <floor and wall corners>. I have had water under the bottom stair and a little caulking fixed it.

Also, you might run a bead of caulking along the top of the rub rail all way around the boat. This solved several small leaks, especially in the engine room. Also, in my boat, there was zippo caulk at the windshield wipers. The three bow hatches have been know to leak on this boat. The only one i had issues with was the forward most one.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

Aaron or whoever else may have experience with a freezer leaking. I have been experiencing this on my 2004 360 sundancer. The drawer below the freezer has had water leaking onto it from the freezer and has begun to mold. Is there a drain for the freezer and if so where might I check to see if its clogged?

Same issue with ours a while back. Turned out to be the shower sump pump box overflowing. I replaced the pump, good to go.

I have a 1995 330DA doing the same thing. The water is entering the floor compartments through small cracks in the corners of the rearward compartment. The floor alos gets wet. This all happens while running the boat. Seems ok at the dock. I am still looking for the cause. Did you solve your problem? How?

Thanks

I have a 88 sundancer 270 with a window in the aft cabin I can tell the water is coming from the window any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Bumping this tread i have the same problem with wather on floor in aft.cab 1997 330DA. It looks like it is water inside the cabin-floorplate that is finding its way to the rear cabin It is the rear part of the cabin-floor that is wet/soaked. The cabin floorplate looks like it is made of wood when you look at it from under vis the compartment under the floor. Any tips on how to find out where the wather is coming in/from?

Wow, had to dig deep to resurrect this thread. I may have a solution for you.

I had a similar issue to this several years ago. It turns out the dumbass (me) who winterized the boat failed to pour antifreeze down the shower drain in the head. The fitting under the shower drain cracked and leaked water. Had to remove the cover underneath the bottom step and used an oscillating saw to gain clearance to the bottom of the shower drain to replace the cracked fitting.

Thank you ltd 330 for the tips!
I have investigated the shower pluming and it looks dry. I also stopped using the shower when I noticed the wet floor a couple of months ago but the water is still coming.

Yesterday I tried to taste the water and it was a little salty... i have a little water in blige coming in trough the rudder, but it is mostly located in the far back of the engine room near the blige pump. Is there any way for the this water to travel forward trough the hull and then get trapped under/beside the aft cab. floor? Anyone knows how to access /drain these areas?

thanks for all help
