We didnt like the helm seat at all so we are reconfiguring both seats. We built new pans for the seats and tested them with the foam we thought we would want to use. The test was very very favorable. The seat looks a little different but the only change is that it is 5" wider. We also made provisions for a head rest for just a little higher back rest. When it's done there will be a 3 cup holder mounted near the top of the seat on the back side. We will also reduce the distance from the base to the seat by 4". I couldnt stand having my legs dangling above the floor. We cut 4" of hard foam to put on the floor so my feet would be resting on something till we get the new seat in. We have tried to go off of our old (280) which was very comfortable. We took the original seat plus the new seat pan we made to the upholstery shop and said "it had to look like it was factory made" I really stressed this so I am hoping it will turn out nice.
