Recently a few helpful neighbors and I could not find a single shut off valve for the city water inlet on my new to me boat. Where would it be hiding? Would it be near the hot water tank? I am not getting any water to the facets except with a small burst of air and then water barely trickles out. Facet screens are clean and run fine when using the water pump. Could my inlet water valve be bad? It does have a small external leak when connected to city water.
I also just found out that our fresh water holding tank or a fitting seems to have a leak. I am collecting water in the mid-birth bilge area (around the sump tank) every time I fill the holding tank full of water and use our facets. Are there any obvious areas to check for a bad fitting or loose waterline connection coming from the tank?
I've checked my water pump connections and cleaned the filter and seem to have no leaks in that area. I did notice that if I leave the water system turned on (with water in the holding tank) the pump will run for a few seconds every 15-20 minutes due to what I am assuming is a leak. Any information is greatly appreciated!
