77 Searay 240 sedan bridge
Engines
5.7 mercruiser
I’ve been wanting to replace my bellow deck fuel tank, it’s not leaking but it is the original tank (45 yrs) was wondering if anyone would have the dimensions or know how I can find them out without having to remove the tank for measurements as the boat is being used, it’s in Hawaii, I live in Alaska and spend some winter time in Hawaii, sure would be nice to have a new tank on hand before pulling the old one. If the picture came thru, it’s the tag on top of the tank. I can not find any info on it on the web.

I would call or email Sea Ray. I know they have drawings and engineering specs for the more modern boats, but not sure how far the records go back. I guess we'll find out!

Thanks David, looks like I’m just gonna have to pull the tank and have down time till one can be made and shipped from the mainland.
Searay told me to contact a dealer, the dealers told me to contact Searay.

Do you or someone else currently have access to the boat? On ours, there is a removable floor panel over the tank that is just held in with screws. There is room to get the dimensions directly from it if it is the same. Our tank has additional capacity added to take it up to 100.

I’m currently able to access the boat, I did pull one center floor panel and was able to read the tag ( Which means nothing other than it’s 70 gallons.
I’m able to get the width and approx length, but without digging out foam and pulling out the forward bulk head, I can’t realy get a depth measurement. I’m guessing it Dosent have a flat bottom as the measurements taken don’t add up to 70 gallons.
