7 gallons of water in oil

I just dont understand someone who will make that kind of investment, and not do something as basic and easy as winterizing to protect said investment. Do they think bikini gals will come hang out on their boat while it sits on a trailer at the mechanics shop?
Someone who cracks an engine block and decides a new boat is in order.

He is mechanically dense has zero knowledge on how to take care of stuff he told me it had anti freeze and all that. Is what it is now tho I'm sure he won't make this mistake again

Michael finding a newer boat can be difficult at this time and some swear their boat is worth double it’s real value. If he is not knowledgeable when it comes to boats and the many systems I would highly recommend he has it looked at by a surveyor. Transoms rot, engines fail, and some owners believe in bandaid fixes. All are costly mistakes that buyers can avoid with a survey.

Without knowing his boat a new or rebuilt would be the cheaper way to go. Me? I’d go plug and play. Cracked block? What else froze and was damaged? But that’s just me. I say that wondering about the stringers, transom, boot, and drive. Make sure it goes to a qualified marine mechanic and ask if you and he be part of the project. IF they will let you, mine does but I stay out of the way. It’s like going back to school for me. Also many of our members here have helped get engine issues fixed for afar.

I wish you and him lots of luck, please keep us informed

Well they are selling the boat let me know if any ones interested they are getting a new boat next week
