7,4 factory props 270 B3

Go to Sea Ray's website - you can find all that info there as well as manuals for your boat. I'd paste the link directly, but i'm in a hurry

For 1997- Original Props-
26 Pitch Set for 7.4LX MPI 330hp
24 Pitch Set for 7.4LX EFI 300hp

I would guess the 24s are your stock props. If they are not doing the job, consider new or rebuilt ones. They do get worn down with use.

I bought my 2001 270DA with 7.4 and Bravo III brand new. It came from the factory with 22's. With full tanks, provisions, and 6 people I can make 4600 WOT @ 40 MPH on the GPS. I do not know the gear ratio in my B III.

My 1999 270se (8'6" Beam), 7.4 EFI, bIII, 2.00 ratio, 24p props.
generator, heat and air, vacuflush, 25 gal. fresh water tank, 15gal holding tank, 100 gal gas.
have often wondered what 22p props would do. Boat seems to struggle when coming up on plane.
When cruising with a group, the desired speed seems to be around 25 mph. I can plane around 22, but motor seems to be under a strain until 27 is reached.
When running alone, 27 to 31mph is the sweet spot, engine quiets down, and she purrs.
Can't recall rpms on wot, tach is acting up, prob need to exercise switch on back, but she will run 40mph, loaded heavy. Like I said earlier , we struggle at slow plane (22 to 25 mph).
