7.3 kohler water pump prob

ok...it's late, been a long day and i have had a few so bare with me. I have a 7.3 kohler gen, running most of the day with no probs and then all the sudden no water dishcharge from the exhaust. Ok....seen this before and i had a spare impeller on board so proceeded to replace the old with the new, but the old was in good shape but replaced it anyway. No obstructions at the pick up or sea strainer and had water flow at water pump. So the problem was that the shaft the impeller is installed spun freely and when impeller installed, i bumped the start and no rotation. So i took the water pump housing off and the coupler, the main shafter would not spin manually but woudl when the ingition was bumped. So....is it the couple or some other internal problem///

Haha...sorry about that!!! Well, I did fine the problems and thankful it's an easy fix. There is a black coupler on the main drive shaft and the shaft to the water pump that broke in half therefore no power to the water pump. Just have to find the replacement part.
