Looking to replace two capacitors (18 uF with a rated voltage of 450 volts). Westerbeke part is 39556 at a cost of $65.00 each. The part number on the Cap. is BS-5267 looked it up, but no sell. Has anyone had luck replacing these capacitors?

I must be really bored, I did some research. BS-5267 appears to mean that the capacitor meets British Standard specification #5267 for a single phase AC motor.

The only places that I could find the capacitor was at Marine Diesel for $71.72 and at Discount Marine, on sale at $65.20.

One other:
$61.94 @ http://www.carpcoastalmarine.com/westerbeke_parts?query=039556

Discount Marine is the place I found it. If I needed only one I would have spent the $65.00, but there is two on the generator. This generator is a dual exciter system requiring two capacitors. I appreciated the help.

It's 5% tolerance? You're not going to get that cheap. Narrow tolerance electrolytic caps are expensive. You test them before you order two of them?

Yes, One read 16.8 and the other tested at 17.1. There suppose to read around 18 uf. 5% is equal to .9
