Hi everyone. Just curious if anyone has any tips on how best to remove the starter on the port side engine? The starter is on the port side and just curious if there are any tips, tricks? There appears to be little room and/or you have to be about 80lbs to get to it?

Got it taken care of. Thanks! Wow these engineers couldn't have possibly put that part in a more horribie spot :(

Can you tell us how you did it? It looks like you would need to very small mechanics to do this replacement

My mechanic is about 6’5 with super long arms. He had to pull the ladder out and basically squeeze around that space. He is very skinny and could make his way over there. I am far too fat and would get stuck. Although, recently, I did surprise myself and changed the 200amp fuse all the way in the back of this boat…. It’s back near the port side rudder and of course the big box (battery power isolator) is right there in the middle. Again, whoever designed this did not have the owners doing their own maintenance in mind.
